Advanced Certificates in Nursing Education

Become an effective nurse educator and help prepare the next generation of nurses.

We offer two advanced certificate options (post-master's certificate programs) for experienced nurses who already have a master's degree and seek further education and professional development in nursing education.

Both advanced certificate programs prepare nurses to work as nursing educators or nursing faculty in a wide variety of settings, as:

  • Nursing Education Faculty and Leaders: As faculty members or leaders in a college or university, both in the classroom and on clinical units with nursing students.
  • Hospital/Health System Educators and Leaders: As a staff development educator or leader, as a provider of clinical or service-based education and/or continuing education provider for nursing and health care
    professionals.

This advanced coursework will build upon your previous degree to prepare you as an evidence-based and student-centered nurse educator.
