Begin your nursing education at a Rochester area community college and complete your bachelor’s degree at the School of Nursing through our 3+1 program.
You may complete the first three years of the bachelor’s degree at one of the following colleges:
- Monroe Community College
- Genesee Community College
- Finger Lakes Community College
After you graduate and complete your NCLEX nursing licensure examination, the final year (equaling four semesters) will be completed at the University of Rochester through the RN to BS program.
If interested, you can apply through the community college of your choice. Upon admission to the 3+1 program, you will be guaranteed a space (assuming a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher) in our RN to BS program.
Review our transfer credit policies on page 53 of our Student Handbook. The Student Affairs Office is responsible for the final determination of the acceptance or denial of transfer credits.
